2008 Presidential Election
Wow...
The 2008 Presidential Election is without a doubt and unquestionably going to be one of the most heated, talked about, controversial elections in all of US History.
I'm interested to read everyone's thought on this.
Feel free to discuss your political views, which candidate you support, your reasons for supporting a specific candidate, your feelings about the election, your feelings about each candidate, etc.
(Just remember to keep things clean, don't post anything offensive, don't bash anyone because of opposing opinions, and handle everything in a mature manner.)

Re: 2008 Presidential Election
Personally, I'd say that I'm more of a conservative liberal. I believe strongly in people having freedoms, but I do think some people take their "freedom" too far, so I guess that's where my conservativism comes in.BrooxBroox wrote:Wow...

As for the candidate I favor, I'd definately pick Obama. IMO, our country is in dire need of positive change, and I think Barack can pull it off. Plus, as history shows, the economy is usually in better shape when a Democrat is in office.
I think that unless most of Hillary's supporters are strongly against Obama, we'll most likely have a (half) black man in our white house.

TRUE!!
This is going to be a heated election. If i could choose someone that would go into office would def. be Hillary Clinton then Obama...but since she is out of the race i would have to go for McCain but...if Obama out of nowhere chooses for Hillary to be his Vice Pres. i would choose Obama for pres. but my family was all for Hillary but now we dont kno wat to do.

LOL. Wow. I've been out of the News Bit for a While.
So, Hillary is definitely out? Kind of cool, for me, I guess.
I'm an Obama supporter, and I'm for him for some of the same reasons you listed, Broox.
Change, and all that.
But Another thing is, (and I knwo hwo this sounds, but it's legitimate, to me) I have a really good sense of People. I feel Barack will be a great Leader.
That's all I really care about.
